Our dentists offer two types of dentures: complete and partial.

Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing. They can either be conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures are made after any remaining teeth have been removed from your jaw and your gums have begun to heal. Conventional dentures can typically be placed eight to twelve weeks after the remaining teeth have been removed. Immediate dentures are made before the teeth are removed and can be placed immediately. They are usually used as temporary dentures, as the jaw and gums shrink during the healing process.

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Removable partial dentures are made up of a gum-colored base with replacement teeth attached. A metal framework is sometimes used to hold this appliance in place.
